Cabed-en-Aras is one of most complete resource sites about J.R.R. Tolkien and his works. Here you can find reviews and summaries of Tolkien's books, as well as info about J.R.R. Tolkien. You can study the geography of Middle-earth and its surrounding continents, read about the different races and the creatures and discover the heroes and fierce monsters of the past, as well as the Gods and their servants. Plus much more. 

Canon? No, Fanon! – This site if fabulous!  It enumerates and dispels many fanon myths and uses canon to do it.  Lots of great info. here but my favorite page is (shockingly enough) the one on Hobbits. 

Culture Of Gondor, a site still under construction, offers brief summaries of the weapons and geography of Gondor.

Frodo Lives! The Ancestory of Frodo Baggins. This is a pretty cool site that lists detailed genealogies of the major hobbit families and traces their inter-relations. The site also offers a link you can use to trace your own ancestry. Informative and easy to use.

The Seat Of Kings - Although it hasn't been updated in a while, The Seat of Kings web site does offer movie transcripts of all three Lord of the Rings movies, with a transcript of the extended version of Fellowship of the Ring. Sadly, the site seems to be abandoned.  

There And Back Again – This requires Flash but the set-up is pretty cool.  Very user-friendly, though some info. is noticeably slim. 

David Maduram offers The Tolkien Bibliography. Website includes a biography, literary analysis and critical reviews, all available in .pdf format.
